Southeast California College has on-site library holdings for local patrons to access books and periodicals through the LIRN online library related to the programs offered at this campus. In the LIRN Library environment, students and faculty have access to databases vendors such as ProQuest, GALE, PubMed, and more. The library is a centrally located resource physically and virtually for all students and faculty and is accessible during classroom hours. The SCC library offers group-study space, a reading room and access to current word processing software and the internet. Refer to the Library web-portal for access to LIRN and College Catalog.
At Southeast California College, students benefit from hands-on training in our fully-equipped skills labs, tailored to each program. Under the direct supervision of our faculty, students gain confidence and develop their caregiving skills in a safe and controlled environment. This preparation ensures they are well-equipped to assist in patient care when they enter clinical or externship settings. Access to the labs is granted only with instructor supervision.
As part of our programs, students are assigned to various clinical or externship sites for hands-on education and patient care experience under guided instruction. This segment of the curriculum takes place off-campus and is supervised directly by a clinical instructor or externship site coordinator.
Because of the dynamic nature of our clinical and externship placements, we cannot provide a comprehensive and up-to-date list of our affiliates. For information about the clinical and externship sites currently partnering with Southeast California College, please contact the campus at (909) 763-3481.
If your medical facility is interested in partnering with Southeast California College, please reach out to the campus for more details.
